Chelsea MacIsaac from the Dalhousie Tigers women’s track and field team is the Atlantic University Sport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 9, 2025.
A fourth-year recreation management student from Greenfield, N.S., MacIsaac brought home a national silver medal from the 2025 BioSteel U SPORTS Track and Field Championships held this past weekend in Windsor, Ont.
She earned U SPORTS silver in the shot put event with a best throw of 13.71m.
MacIsaac also narrowly missed the podium in the weight throw event with a best throw of 17.79m to finish in fourth place. She broke her own Dalhousie school record with the throw.

Chris Weeks from the Memorial Sea-Hawks men’s swim team is the Atlantic University Sport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 9, 2025.
In his second year, from St. John’s, N.L., Weeks came away with two national medals after competing at the U SPORTS Swimming Championships last week in Toronto, Ont.
He earned U SPORTS silver in the 100m freestyle, missing gold by just 0.02 seconds with a time of 48.18s.
He also brought home the bronze medal in the 50m butterfly with a time of 25.35s.
