(HALIFAX, N.S.) Atlantic University Sport (AUS) is proud to announce Bell as the conference’s new title partner. This growing partnership represents a shared dedication to supporting student-athletes in Atlantic Canada and to elevating the profile of university sport in the region.
Bell has had a longstanding relationship with AUS, supporting the conference and its student-athletes in various capacities, including as its presenting partner for the last four years.
Further strengthening their commitment to the conference and its missions, they have now opted to move to the prestigious AUS title partner position for the remainder of the 2024-25 season and for the 2025-26 season.
“Bell Canada has long understood that investing in Atlantic University Sport and its student-athletes is an investment in our future community leaders, doctors, scholars and scientists,” said AUS president and CEO Phil Currie. “They have seen first-hand the value proposition of post-secondary athletics—so much so that they have agreed to bolster their support. We are so grateful for the expansion of this partnership, and we look forward to working with their team to make the very best of this continuing relationship.”
The growing partnership is emblematic of how AUS and Bell’s organizational values align—including a shared commitment to community building and to empowering the next generation of leaders, both in sport and beyond.
“We are excited to expand our relationship with Atlantic University Sport,” said Helena Cain, VP, Atlantic Enterprise and National Midmarket Sales, Bell Canada. “Supporting AUS as they foster extraordinary student-athlete experiences at the university level reflects the impact we strive to make through our Bell for Better initiatives. We look forward to working with AUS as title sponsor and seeing the athletes grow and develop on the university stage.”
As the conference’s premier partner, Bell will move into the title position for all remaining 2025 AUS winter championships. This includes the conference’s marquee event—the 2025 Bell AUS Basketball Championships, which will be held Feb. 28 to March 2 at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax. Hosted in Halifax for over 25 years, the event set a new all-time attendance record last season, with more than 25,000 fans taking in university basketball games over the course of the championship weekend.
