How To Optimise Your Posts on Instagram

As each day passes, social media is becoming a more and more effective way to advertise your business. With millions of people engaging with media apps all over the world every moment, it offers brands a great way to increase their visibility and connect with clients and prospects. If you want to have a strong community of people who relate to your brand, Instagram is the way to go.

Except that it’s not as easy as it sounds. Instagram has over 800 million active monthly users, but many of those users also have businesses and brands that they want to promote, and the result is a lot of the smaller businesses end up buried under piles of posts from the more popular ones, and nobody gets to see what they have to offer.

It’s not easy, but it’s possible to use social media to your advantage. Those big businesses were small at some point too, but they grew and, thankfully, so can you. There are a few things you can do to increase the visibility of your brand and attract traffic to your page.

Post At The Right Times.

Yes, there are right times to post! This is something that is specific to each individual user. You could be missing out on a lot of likes and follows simply because you are sending out your posts at the wrong time. If you switch to a business profile, you can check your insights to see when your followers are online and schedule your posts accordingly.

Use Hashtags

Instagram is almost more like a search engine these days. Using hashtags will ensure your post pops up when somebody searches for that hashtag or something similarly related to your account. Also, people follow hashtags, which means that people who aren’t following you can discover your posts and you can gain more followers. Posts with at least one hashtag receive 12.6 per cent more engagement.

Use High-Quality Pictures

There are millions of pictures uploaded to Instagram daily, so you have to make sure your picture is eye-catching, and the easiest way to achieve this is to use high-quality images. Pictures that are clear and vibrant will most likely make people stop scrolling for a second and actually notice you.

Engage With Your Followers

This is practically the most underrated tip. Engaging with your followers is a huge step in growing your Instagram page. A comment here and a like there can really go a long way in making your followers feel valued, and they will be more likely to reciprocate when you post.

Quality Not Quantity

I know the main point of this article is to gain more followers and likes on Instagram, but do not focus on those. Do not be so busy chasing followers that you stop posting quality content. Post your stuff, and the followers will come. Certainly do not buy followers. Having a thousand fake followers will do absolutely nothing for your brand and for engagement, because they are just numbers.
