On Friday March 13th, 2026, the Cap partnered with SNAP! A Burlesque Revue, an annual fundraising event for animal welfare charities in New Brunswick. They dubbed this year’s iteration of SNAP! “Frislay the 13th.” From a heartbroken Ghost Face to yuri lampshades, the group curated great performances.

Local drag queens Porcelain Barbie, Ana Cry Sis, Hellacious, Baba Spectra, Damion Danger, Clementini, and Luci Morningstar executed a variety of drag and burlesque performances, interacting with the audience as well as collecting donations.

Some of the performances included Ghost Face dancing to Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe,” killer clowns dancing to Insane Clown Posse’s “Chop Chop Slide,” and two lampshades falling in love to Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” The drag queens themselves choreographed the performances including the use of specific props like drawn signs, fake knives and blood, and they designed their own outfits.

The venue was almost at full capacity with roughly around 15–20 attendees, the Cap filled with people excited to see the performers in action, some attendees even dressing up. The show’s aesthetic utilized the creepy vibe of Sean S. Cunningham’s classic horror film Friday the 13th (1980). The performers and select audience members alike wore  Halloween-themed costumes, leaning heavily into the horror genre.

During the middle and end of the show, the group hosted auctions, giving out prizes such as soap, ornaments (personally made by the performers), bandannas, and goodie bags containing soap, jewelry, and other decorations.

Lee Tediho, a performer and emcee expressed how:

“All the money raised from performances, auctions, and ticket fees all went towards [SNAP!] … [to] help a multitude of animal welfare groups … [SNAP!] is a very inclusive group … Anyone can audition for it, no matter body size, age, orientation. Everyone’s welcome!”

Anotide Pishi, another attendee, commented on her personal experience:

“Because this was my first drag show, I liked how people were comfortable and how people expressed themselves. It gave a sense of community.”

She then shared her opinion on the cause of the fundraiser, saying:

“I love animals, it’s a good thing.”

SNAP! for less hosts a large show in May, with stages, huge props, more choreography and live music. One performer, Luci Morningstar, even shared how last year they had a large vagina as a prop, with a bunch of people dressed in baby-inspired costumes She unfortunately, didn’t provide further context, claiming, “You had to be there to see it.”

They ended the show with a duet by Luci and Lee to the song “Loser Baby” from the series Hazbin Hotel.

If you want to show your support, go to SNAP! to buy tickets for their show in May.
