These numbers were obtained by the Federation of New Brunswick Faculty Associations through a Right to Information request.

Enrolment is a factor to consider when comparing budgets and expenses of different post-secondary institutions. Arguably, a university with a large number of students may have heftier annual legal expenditures.
The following numbers were obtained from the Universities Canada website. These figures are rounded to the nearest 10.

2014 full-time student enrolment (part-time students are not included):

University of New Brunswick – 8,560

Université de Moncton – 4,510

St. Thomas University – 2,070

Mount Alison University – 2,350
