UNB admin, law students meet over dean’s leave of absence

University of New Brunswick law students met with president Eddy Campbell Thursday in the wake of an abrupt leave of absence by the new dean of law.

An explanation has yet to be given as to why Jeremy Levitt recently took a leave of absence four months after taking on the role of dean.

“Dr. Campbell and Dr. Secco did meet with law students today, at the invitation of the students,” said UNB spokesman David Stonehouse.
Neither Dr. Campbell or Dr. Secco are at liberty to comment, given that the meeting was dealing with matters internal to the law school.”

The meeting took place following the resignation of law professor Janet Austin as associate dean.

More to come.
