Members of professors’ union AUNBT voted in favour of accepting the collective bargaining agreement that resulted from negotiations last week. Ninety per cent of members voted in favour of the agreement.
“The strike was difficult for us all, teachers and students alike. But it is becoming clear that our members have come out of it reinvigorated and ready to work to reclaim our university,” said union president Miriam Jones, in a release.
Both parties will be in limited arbitration to resolve outstanding issues for the next six months, according to the release.
The agreement will now go on to UNB’s Board of Governors for ratification.
