The labour dispute between the AUNBT and UNB may be over.
AUNBT president Miriam Jones announced via press release that both sides agreed to a recommendation which would end the strike/lockout.
“This comes as a result of reaching a tentative agreement on the key issues related to wages,” Jones said in the release.
Jones added that both parties agreed to jointly announce details within 24 hours.
Both the AUNBT and the university did not respond to requests for an interview by the time of publication.
On Monday, New Brunswick post-secondary minister Jody Carr ordered both parties back to the table with an appointed negotiator. Thursday was their second day of meeting.
More to come.
